FLOYD B. CERINI

Title Insurance and Trust

Floyd B. Cerini was Vice President of Government Relations of Title Insurance and Trust, and Vice President of Pioneer National Title Insurance, both subsidiaries of TICOR, from 1970 until his death in 1985. A Pasadena resident, Floyd was responsible for reviews and reports on all legislation pending before the California State Legislature on behalf of TICOR, the California Land Title Association and the California Mortgage Bankers Association.

Floyd was President of the Land Title Insurance Company before joining Title Insurance and Trust in 1960 as Vice President and Associate Counsel. He was promoted to Vice President and Division Counsel in 1963 and to Vice President and Assistant General Counsel in 1967.

A native Californian, Floyd received his A.B. degree from the University of California at Berkeley and his LL.B. degree in 1932 from the University of California School of Jurisprudence (Boalt Hall).

Active in professional and civic organizations, he was a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of California, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Statewide Taxation Committee of the California Chamber of Commerce, and the Subdivision Advisory Committee to the California Real Estate Commissioner.

​Floyd was a member of the Board of the California Land Title Association and served as President, Chairman and Vice Chairman during his 20 years as a member. He served as a Director of the Residential Builders Council, a legislative adviser of the California Builders Council, and a Director of the Building Industry Association and the National Association of Home Builders of Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura Counties. He also served as Chairman of the California Mortgage Bankers Association and President of the Southern California Mortgage Bankers Association.
