Building Workforce Diversity

The Building Workforce Diversity networking reception serves as a platform to raise awareness of the Donald Chaiken Building Industry Technology Academy (BITA) and the Professional Women in Building scholarship program. Following the reception, we extend an invitation for you to join the California Building Industry Association's annual leadership dinner, where the Association honors the Legislator of the Year.

Your participation and sponsorships play a direct role in fostering workforce development, education, and the progression of professional opportunities for women, people of color, and students from all socioeconomic backgrounds. These efforts support the California Homebuilding Foundation’s Donald Chaiken Building Industry Technology Academy (BITA), which empowers individuals to explore career opportunities within the industry.

Thank You for Joining Us at the Building Workforce Diversity Mixer!

The California Homebuilding Foundation sincerely thanks everyone who attended this year's Building Workforce Diversity Mixer in La Quinta.

The evening featured inspiring stories from BITA students at Sultana High School, led by dynamic instructor Kurt Chapman. Their enthusiasm for construction and commitment to their education and career path highlight the bright future of our workforce.

We are immensely grateful for the generous contributions from the homebuilding industry and for our valuable partners, including the CBIA Professional Women in Building. Together, we are making strides to connect students to the industry, build a future workforce, and strengthen our communities.

If you missed this year’s event, we hope to see you next year! Be sure to check out our Facebook page for event photos.
