21st Century Campaign

$5 million investment in the future of homebuilding and homeownership in California

CHF has established the 21st Century Research Trust that is a permanent endowment providing ongoing funds to sponsor independent research on public policy issues affecting housing production, costs, and availability. Approximately 75% of the annual income from the endowment will be directed toward research on issues that affect the entire state. An additional 20% of the annual income will be available as matching grants to local Building Industry Associations to support research on local/regional issues.

Benefit to Industry:

The research provided by the Trust will allow our industry to be more effective at meeting the challenges ahead.  Credible, independent, university-based research is a powerful tool to counter anti-housing factions.
